Move, Connect, and Learn in the Heart of Haile

Saturday Morning Health Walks

Join Dr. Bray every Saturday morning at the Farmer's Market for a community walk dedicated to health, education, and friendship.

A Beautiful Way to Start Your Weekend

We are incredibly lucky to walk in one of the most picturesque areas of Gainesville. Our walks begin and end at the vibrant Haile Farmer’s Market, surrounded by the charm of the Village Center and the serenity of moss-draped oaks.

How It Works

The Saturday Routine

We meet every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

The Health Topic

We kick off promptly with a 5-minute "Health Pearl"β€”a brief educational talk by Dr. Bray covering wellness, prevention, or general medical wisdom.

The Loop System

Following the talk, we utilize a loop route that starts and stops at the Haile Farmer’s Market.

Your Pace, Your Distance

Because of the loop format, the distance is entirely based on the group's preference and your comfort level. Distances typically range from 1/2 mile to 4 miles. Whether you want a gentle stroll or a brisk workout, you fit right in.

Why Walk Together?

Physical activity is the best medicine, but it’s even better when shared.

  • Physical Health: Walking is a powerful tool for longevity. It improves cardiovascular health, strengthens bones, boosts immunity, and helps manage weight.

  • Social Connection: Social isolation is a health risk, but community is the cure. Walking together provides a relaxed environment to meet neighbors, make new friends, and enjoy the mental health benefits of socialization.

All Mobilities Welcome

We are committed to making health accessible to everyone. Accommodations will always be made to accommodate individuals with all ranges of mobility needs or limitations.

Whether you are utilizing a walker, a wheelchair, or simply prefer a slower pace, we will ensure the route works for you. No one is left behind.
